For their size the Chihuahua is remarkably agile and spirited. Should have well rounded skull, slightly pointed muzzel, large eyes and large ears set at an angle of 45 degrees. Body slightly longer than height, furry, flattish tail carried up and over back.

Most intelligent, tends to bond closely with one or two people,sometimes a little shy of strangers, makes a happy family pet yet an alert watchdog. Ideal for the flat or home with small gardens.

Bold, playful, very territorial and will make a good guard dog.
