- Appearance
A French sheepdog of rugged appearance with proudly carried head, supple movement, slightly longer than tall, undocked tail. should have double dewclaws on hindlegs. Impressive looking features without aggression.
- Characteristics
The Briard is full of life and rather boisterous by nature, and needs ample exercise. Suitable for farm work or as a charming family pet. Top coat is long, wavy and dry, with dense undercoat, which is not too difficult to keep with regular grooming. Briards can be rather dominant and so it is imperative that training is started as early as possible. They must be socialised as pups.
- Temperament
Lively, protective, care should be taken if there are younger children in the household.
Oscar Recommends that customers should always consult with a nutritional advisor
