- Appearance
The proud and dignified bearing Chow Chow is compact, leonine in appearance with unusual features of the blue/black tongue and mouth, the scowl, the lack of angulation in hind legs and stilted movement.
- Characteristics
Independent and resreved by nature, the adult shows little interest in people or dogs outside their family. To unknown dogs he is defensive rather than aggressive. Only 'lets his hair down in the family circle; requires to have his character learned and understood. Loyal, an excellent dog with children
- Temperament
Alert. They can become attached to one person and do have a tendency to snap or bite if they feel they or their owner is threatened. They may look like a cuddly teddy bear but they are not.
Oscar Recommends that customers should always consult with a nutritional advisor
