  A golden coloured coat, never red. This dog has a broad skull and a powerful muzzle. The coat can be wavy or flat.

• Characteristics

  A very responsive, alert dog making training easy and as long as enough exercise is provided, a wonderful family dog. These dogs are also used as blind dogs and for therapy.

• Temperament

  Honest and trustworthy. Goldens will attempt to drag, pull or carry anything they can fit into their mouths. They also love water and care should be taken to ensure their safety when any form of water is nearby.
