- The Tibetan Terrier was bred for the harsh conditions of the Himalayan Mountains. Their feet are large, round and flat providing traction in snow, and necessary grip on the difficult mountains. Colours are: white, golden, cream, grey or smoke, black, parti-colour and tricolour.

- A lively, good-natured and loyal companion, they have engaging personality with strong guard dog abilities. They are intelligent and have a sensitive nature.
- Temperament
- They can be strong-willed and stubborn therefore firm, kind handling has the best effect. Good with well behaved children and other dogs.
